MacBook vs iPad Pro for Creative Professionals: A Rental Comparison
Need a tablet for a short design job? RentSmart rents iPad and Apple Pencil from ₹299/day. We do not rent MacBooks.
By RentSmart Editorial Team
Catalogue note: RentSmart currently rents iPad & Pencil. We do not rent MacBooks. MacBook prices below are a comparison only.
RentSmart rents an iPad with Apple Pencil from ₹299/day. We do not rent MacBooks. A MacBook is the better tool for full desktop apps; it is just not in our catalogue.
What we actually rent:
• iPad with M2 chip and Apple Pencil (2nd generation), from ₹299/day
• Flat ₹249 delivery and pickup
• You bring your own Apple ID. We do not load paid apps
What we do not rent:
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iPhone. Older versions of this article listed MacBook weekly and monthly rates. Those were comparisons, not RentSmart prices, and they are withdrawn so they are not quoted as our offer.
The iPad and Pencil combo fits:
• Exam notes and PDF markup
• Procreate and other touch-first design for a short client job
• Trying Pencil before you buy a tablet
A MacBook still wins for desktop video editing, multiple monitors, and file-heavy work. If that is the job, buy or rent a laptop elsewhere. Booking an iPad will not get you a MacBook.
