Question 1: Do you care about specific exclusive games, or just 'something good to play'?
If you've specifically heard about Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarök, or Horizon Forbidden West and want to play those exact games — rent PS5. Those titles are PlayStation-only. If you just want a solid library without caring which titles, Xbox's Game Pass Ultimate gives you a rotating catalog of 400+ games for the rental period, which is arguably better value for undecided gamers.
Question 2: Is this a one-off event (party, weekend, birthday) or an extended multi-week stretch?
For a short 1-3 day rental, the console matters less than convenience — pick whichever we have available faster. For a week or longer, Xbox's Game Pass library means you won't run out of things to play; PS5 rewards you more if you're locked into one or two big single-player games.
Question 3: Will multiple people be playing, or mostly one person?
PS5's DualSense controller and party-friendly exclusives (Sackboy, Astro's Playroom, Ratchet & Clank) tend to land better with groups and kids. Xbox leans slightly more toward solo and online multiplayer sessions.
Question 4: Do you already have a Game Pass or PlayStation Plus account?
If you or a friend already has an active subscription, that tips the decision — you inherit the existing library/save data instantly instead of starting from zero.
Question 5: Is budget the deciding factor?
Xbox Series X rental runs slightly cheaper (₹899/day, ₹2,299/week, ₹4,999/month vs PS5's ₹999/day, ₹2,499/week, ₹5,249/month). If the ₹100-250 difference matters and you're not fussed about exclusives, Xbox is the marginally cheaper pick.

If you don't have a strong opinion either way, go with PS5 — it has broader brand recognition, the exclusives are genuinely excellent conversation pieces at parties, and it's what we have more consistent same-day availability for across Delhi NCR.
